Generation 4 Product Design and Development

DESIGN MINI NBIKE

Generation 4 was hired by Murray to develop a minibike to sell at a superstore. Murray is in the business of developing and selling lawnmowers. They have the ability to bend and paint pipe in house in Tennessee. The 3.5 horse engine from Techumseh is a set purchased price for us to start from.  That doesn't leave much for the rest of the bike. G4 designed, engineered, sourced components domestically and in China. The end product was prototyped and shown to a major superstores buyers. They bought 30000 units in the first order and sold the unit for more than our target price since they felt the perceived value was higher. G4 met the manufacturing cost target and beat it slightly.
